Default Retracting steering wheel

Hi there, dose anyone know how to disarm the auto steering wheel function on a 2004 rx330
I would like to stop the wheel from retracting every time I insert and remove the key.
The manual says to contact the dealer . Thanks

That is what you need to do, "contact the dealership". It one of the settings that can be changed by the dealer using their computer. It's not free.

You can also buy the fotga mini OBDII thingy from Amazon. That is a setting you could change yourself for $30.

Yeah that's exactly what I am talking about. Smassey, what other features were you able to customize? I found my list was pretty small...

Here is a list of features you can adjust. http://www.lexus.com/pdf/service/RX400h_LPS.pdf

You can also read OBD codes and do things such as bleed the brakes.

Default Steering Wheel

If you dont want to spend the money. You can have the memory location all the way forward. That way it wont extend out when you start the car.

Thanks. I can't see those options for the power back door. I'll look again, but the only place in Techstream to adjust these is under the main menu button "customize settings" right?

The power back door is called something like PRD. Poke around and you will find it. I was able to change the setting for mine. It now opens with a quick click rather than holding it 2 seconds.

I found it, but there were no options to change - you click on it and it opens a list that is blank. Same with "warnings." I wonder what part of the Fotga thing is causing this, whether it's my version of the software or firmware or what...
