Default Weird CEL Code P2195

Hello everyone,
Last week I was on a dive trip and my RX remained parked outside for a week. As I was returning home and I was merging on the highway my CEL appeared; I used my scanner and the code was p2195, which I cleared. My RX was driven for about 5 minutes before merging onto the highway.
On my way home I needed to stop for gas, I filled up and them merged onto the highway and the CEL came on again. I used the scanner and the same code p2195- which I cleared.
I completed my drive home, and have only been doing short city driving since then an no CEL's, any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Chris

found this with a quick google

Potential causes of a P2195 code include: Oxygen (O2) or A/F ratio sensor or sensor heater malfunction Open or short in O2 sensor circuit (wiring, harness) Fuel pressure or fuel injector problem Faulty PCM Intake air or engine vacuum leaks Faulty fuel injector(s) Fuel pressure too high or too low PCV system leak/fault A/F sensor relay faulty MAF sensor malfunction ECT sensor malfunction Fuel pressure too low Fuel leak Air suction in air intake system

more than likely, you need to replace the O2 sensor.

also remember, that just because the light isn't on, doesn't mean you don't have a code.

it takes multiple faults before the computer trips the CEL light

its prob just coincidence, or the fact that you arm flooring the fuel pedal to get up to speed to merge on the highway.

its hard to bench test an O2 sensor, they are pretty easy to change yourself,

i would just order a new one.

Hi Kiwi,
Thank you for your post.
And yes on both occasions I was accelerating rapidly to merge- 4-5K RPM range
Today I accelerated rapidly, same RPM range 4-5K range and like clockwork the CEL illuminated but the code was not P2195 rather P0171.
Does this shed light for anyone?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
