I have an 04 RX330. As I can tell by searching this forum, the brake light switch going out is a common problem. Lexus did a recall in 04 for this, so they know it's an issue. My vehicle was purchased new by a family member and it had the switch replaced under the recall in 05 by the selling dealer.
I got the car in 13 and soon the switch had to be replaced again at around 50k miles. I paid labor and parts of $180 at my local Lexus dealer.
This week the dashboard lit up again with all of the "idiot lights" and I knew what it was. Took it to the same dealer as the 2nd repair and they fixed it at no charge parts or labor. This is fine of course, but the part #s on the receipts from repair 2 and 3 match so my expectations aren't very high.
Has anyone else experienced this many repairs for this issue? I have 69k miles.
What do you think about me contacting Lexus corporate to attempt to get a refund on the 1 repair I paid for? Or should I just let it go?

Where is this switch?

I'm not positive but I think under the dash not far from the brake pedal.
