Default 08 rx 350 85,000 mile service

What all as to get done? Any idea of rough prices? Also I only own this 350 for about 2 months and have no idea of what oil was used. Should I check with the previous dealer or just change it? Not sure if you can just switch from synthetic to non synthetic. Any help, thanks

just go to independent for work. Yes you can switch but why? Just use synthetic and you will be able to go more miles between oil changes.

Great, thanks for the help. I don't think synthetic was used before. I want to use it but could anything happen if it wasn't synthetic and you switch to synthetic? What do you mean by independent?

no switching is fine. Use synthetic.

Independent shop can do 90k mile service. Lexus will charge you a lot more. Seek pricing from Toyota dealer first then independent mechanic that frequently works on toyotas and Lexus.

I just purchased an '08 RX 350 with 81,000 miles one month ago. Excellent service history, oil changes at 5000 mile intervals. I switched to Mobil 1 5-30 HM about 2 weeks ago. With Minnesota winters you gotta have synthetic. I've used synthetics since the 70's.

You might even consider Mobil 1's 0W30 for those cold MN winters.
