Default Little Road Trip to Quebec

Hi RXers, Just wanted to say how proud I was of my RX350 this weekend. I drove up to Mont-Tremblant in Quebec from about 40 min west of Toronto for a bachelor party (1400km/870miles Round Trip). I and three buddies (all +/- 200lbs) drove up in my RX with all our gear. Besides being proud of having a trouble free road trip, the big shocker was the gas mileage I was averaging. I was locked with cruise control about 120km/h (75mph) and I was averaging 10.5L/100KM(22.5 MPG)!! Which to me considering my speed, fact that its AWD and the load was very good.

Here are some pics I snapped of the load.

Colors Light?

That would be my only questionable fact about your trip.

:-)

Sounds like the RX rocked.

Hahaha! The coors were a payback from a buddy that ran out of beer and was drinking ours.

Ya it kicked ***. It's a 2007 with 117,000miles (188,200kms).

Long road trip with friends and beers in a nice RX. Sounds like a great time. You still managed 22.5 mpg with all that weight on the way back?

Oh ya. It was brutal in there. Three full days/nights of drinking and eating fast food will do it to you. Then multiply by 4 hahahaha

I know! I was and am still surprised. Guess a hitch mounted cargo carrier has no negative impact on aerodynamics....

Welcome to Quebec, RXPhil This is what I have to "climb" every day to get home:

And I took a picture of my parking, from my garage, this morning

Have a great time

I'm dedicating this summer to weekend trips with the RX. I hope to find views like that to take in! I'm jealous you get that everyday. I am however 10min down the road from the ocean which is nice.

Hey-Hey: thanks We bought our house last summer, and we really appreciate the view. I'll add a pict of what we see, from the living/dinning room.

10 min. from the ocean shouldn't be bad either

Charlie Brown tree? Just kidding. Hard to tell by the reflection. What's are those white lights out there? Roads or something in your house?
