2007 RX 350 NAV / GPS Custom Favorites / POI
I've got a 2007 Lexus RX 350, 5th Gen Nav, I think, and I was wondering..
Is there a way to (using a computer) add custom favorites / POI / other coordinates by using my computer? For instance, for when we go out of town, if I already know some spots we want to go to, or spots we'd likely go to if we're going to the same area.. be able to just add those as coordinates from my computer, and then I guess put them on the DVD with the Nav System data? Since the data runs off a DVD, apparently, I assume I'd have to dump the files off the DVD, customize a file or two with the coordinates and names, and then burn a new copy of the disk.
Is anything like this possible? Or is it possible to do without messing with the DVD? Other than wiring things differently as well? Thanks for any suggestions or references.
Sorry if somehow this ended up being a duplicate posting.. I tried to post the question earlier, but didn't see it, so figured I'd better try again in case it was lost before being saved as a new thread on the site.
