Cleaning Cargo / Boot Area
Does anyone have any tips, products that are recommended to clean the rear interior cargo panels. Over times these panels can get dirty depending on what you carry in the car etc.

I feel your pain. After luggage, strollers, etc mine get dirty as well my method is as follows:
1. Hot water and dawn soap in a bucket. Use micrfiber towel. Get off what you can. Sometimes a couple sprays in the bucket of simple green and mix in.
2. Tuff stuff or Meguiar's upholstery cleaner with upholstery brush.
3. Finish off with hot water and dawn again.
This has consistently worked for me.

i used to clean cars at a dealership years ago, one trick we used was to use brake clean. (yes the stuff mechanics use to clean off pads and rotors etc)
it is around 100% alcohol and will evaporate quickly.
simply spray on and wipe off, works well on head liners, the spot you have an issue with, as well as carpet and cloth seats.

What about the smell / toxins that this would introduce to the inteior? Have kids in the car and last thing I want is toxins in there. Anything else that could be used if it is just "100% alcohol"?
Scared of water on the interior of the car. Would it be easier to remove these panels and do it externally?

No, I don't play soccer!
draco, you should be fine as long as you don't saturate the MF cloth and in turn the liner. It might take a little effort to get it clean. Maybe use a soft toothbrush for tougher spots and rub gently. I think i's plastic underneath on the lower panel. Probably also the upper panel to maintain the structure. I had to drill through it to install the cargo net years ago. And I've used carpet cleaner without a problem.
