I actually had those done not too long ago. I was just thinking of going to Auto Zone to get their ceramic brakes & installing them. My dealer is charging me $138/rotor & $89.50 for the pads.

Try looking at Akebono. Though, any premium brake pad should suffice for the job. Just do not cheap out. If you have an Advance Auto Parts in your area you can go online to place an order, use the discount code at the top of the page, and arrange for pickup at your local store to save shipping charges.

Jaybeck860 - I can live with the pads but $138 per rotor was extremely high. They wanted to charge me $540 for the installation. I was like no, I just want the parts quote lol.

Assuming they are still of the proper thickness, unless your brakes pulse while braking your rotors are probably fine. No need to even turn them. How many miles on your RX? I still have the same rotors on the front and rear of my 2004 RX after 90K miles. The fronts were turned only slightly while those on the rear have never been touched with the exception to scuff them up a bit to help remove the glaze.

Get the oem brakes, the people that design the car did the research and development on what works best for your car in terms of both performance and noise - why would you want to throw some cheap brake parts that are made in china on your fine Japanese made automobile?

Get OEM brakes with discount at Sewell. That's what I would do.

I did go with Akebono pads. Which is supposed to be OEM. Turns out I didn't need the rotors. Thanks for the welcome. I always used this site to search but never signed up.
