Oh I didn’t see that there was a difference in price from Upstream to downstream. Didn’t read that far into it.

Bank 1 is the right (rear) bank. Sensor 1 is the upstream (air/fuel) sensor. I get 234-9022 as the one you need. $93.20 from Amazon with free shipping.

That is the sensor i had to replace on my RX330. On the RX330 do able without putting the car on a lift.
I used one of these to get it off:
Powerbuilt 648691 Oxygen Sensor Offset Puller : Amazon.com : Automotive Powerbuilt 648691 Oxygen Sensor Offset Puller : Amazon.com : Automotive

On the 330 there is not enough room to get the socket style tool over the sensor.

Great info I will install it as soon as I catch a warmer day.

Many thanks!

Don't try so hard Saltynutz.....Lexus/Toyota does not makes oxygen sensors, they are all made by DENSO.
Just because I bought a Lexus it does not mean I will be such a fool to pay dealership money for any parts.

Get Denso p/n 234-9022 and you are buying what lexus sells you at the Stealerships.

I have owned enough Toyota vehicles to know better.

Default P2195 sensor replacement

I also have the dreaded P2195 code on an '07 RX350. I'm planning on doing this myself and can't thank you guys enough for pointing me in the right direction. First I wanted to make sure this worked out for you in the B1S1 position as I just ordered this part number from Amazon (234-9022). Second I need a little help making sure I'm looking at the correct sensor under the car. If I slide under near the front passenger side tire I see two of them. One is low and easy to get to - the other is up higher and a bit more difficult to reach. I think it's the higher sensor I'm after, but if anyone has guidance on positively indentifying the S1B1 sensor before replacement I'd be most appreciative.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Sensor 1 is before the catalytic converter. Sensor 2 is after the converter.

Sensor 1 is the harder of the two to reach.

Thanks!!!
Purchased these items and installed last weekend saving about $350 off the Lexus dealer installed price. Light has been off for 8 days now (was recurring daily after resets before).

Thanks to you all. I really appreciate the info and help,

Jim

I wanted to add my experience with the replacement and purchase of this part. Denso 234-9022 does not appear to be correct.

The part I removed was 894670E020 from the Bank 1 Sensor 1 Location. Based on everything I could search based only on my make and model '08 RX350 (not using the part number) the replacement part for the vehicle was 234-9022. Autozone, O'Reilly, Amazon all said that this was the correct part. So I ordered it.

Based on a side by side comparison when my part arrived, they are not the same part, although they may be interchangeable.

When I give the part number (894670E020) of the part I removed to Autozone, O'Reilly, Amazon (not the vehicle description) I was given part number for Denso 234-9042 as the replacement. A side by side comparison of these parts (894670E020 and 234-9042) is exact

If you go to the O'Reilly website you can look up each part and see the difference or similarities between the parts.

I used the 234-9042, reset the codes and have driven about 30 miles so far without the CEL coming back on.
I am hopeful that this was the fix.

If anyone is curious, I can post a picture. Also, make sure you get the offset puller as suggested previously in this thread or you will kick yourself.

When you check the Denso site you come up with part number 234-9042 when you cross reference the OE part number 894670E020.

http://densoautoparts.com/find-my-part/cross-reference

Further research seems to indicate that there are a series of these, all which will fit the RX350. All the following info is from RockAuto:

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1607066

For 2349042 it shows: Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 2349043, 2349045, 2349046

Fitment for 2349042 shows:

LEXUS ES300 (2002 - 2003)
LEXUS ES330 (2004 - 2006)
LEXUS RX330 (2004 - 2006)
LEXUS RX350 (2007 - 2011)
LEXUS RX400H (2006 - 2007)
TOYOTA CAMRY (2002 - 2006)
TOYOTA HIGHLANDER (2004 - 2007)
TOYOTA SIENNA (2004 - 2006)
TOYOTA SOLARA (2004 - 2008)
Please refer to catalog for application details.

Part number 2349022 does indeed look to be a different design as shown here:

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=1607178

Fitment for 2349022 shows:

LEXUS ES350 (2008 - 2011)
LEXUS RX350 (2007 - 2009)
LEXUS RX450H 2010
TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2010
TOYOTA AVALON (2008 - 2011)
TOYOTA CAMRY (2008 - 2011)
TOYOTA HIGHLANDER (2008 - 2010)
TOYOTA RAV4 (2006 - 2012)
TOYOTA SIENNA 2011
TOYOTA TACOMA (2011 - 2012)
TOYOTA VENZA (2009 - 2011)
Please refer to catalog for application details.

In the end, I believe some of the confusion is based on the fact that little is noted about the country of manufacture as shown in this example from the Denso site when I looked up a 2007 RX350:

P/N for Bank1 Sensor 1 oxygen sensor 08 RX350-screen-shot-2014-04-14-at-1.40.40-am.png

Only here at Denso does this information seem to be noted and only in some instances.

I edited my last post. I used the 234-9042.

There was some discussion in one of the stores I visited about using a 234-9046. It also looks the same and the store computer claimed that the 9046 part number "superceded" the 9042.

More than likely. In what country was your RX built?

I am getting code 2195 at 106k miles. I looked and the previous owner replaced B1S1 at 86K in April of 2014 at a dealership. I am wondering if that is too soon for the sensor to go bad and if there is something else I should be checking?

Thanks.
