The motor/generators for drive provide the charging in the hybrid.
The battery is charged from the Hybrid battery (no alternator)
The power steering belt is no longer because the steering rack is electric
The Air conditioning compressor is electric driven.
Remember the gas engine is not on all the time. So you need alternatives to drive these systems.
There are no external belts on the Hybrid car. The timing belt is the same as on the 3.3 liter engine in the older RX330 series cars. (same engine) with some mods to air intake etc.
Aftermarket parts like Mitsobushi (timing belt) Aisin (water pump) and Koyo for idlers bearings are actually the original equipment manufacturors.

The Lexus dealer did a great job on my water pump and timing belt. I had another shop check the leak. It does seem early in the life of the car to have this problem. I meant to ask the dealer if there is a warranty on the repair.
