Default Any one know what this is?

Hi new to the CL site. Does anyone happen to know what the part number of the little plug that goes in the AT shift bezel just above the SNOW ETC button? Or what the correct name of it is? Mine is missing and it's driving me batty!

I would like to find one on line w/o having to stop at the dealer to find out what it is if at all possible.

TIA!

Welcome to Club Lexus. This has me scratching my head as well. I am not missing the little plastic cover, but the Lexus manual doesn't I.D. it either. I think Lexus may have put it there for some future use. Best you stop by the dealership and ask about it. That part couldn't cost more than a couple of dollars.

Welcome to Club Lexus, Cafasco.

Check out page 583:

Is that what you are talking about?

If that is correct, then I would go with: 335540E010

I am not sure how you found that. The owner's manual that came with my 2007 RX350 is only 430 pages long. Maybe Lexus has an expanded manual online? In any event it is great information and important to know.

I know it was mentioned in my Owner's Manual for the 2004, so that is where I looked. I did RTFM -- many, many times!!!

Have the printed copy of the Owner's Manual in the car, another printed copy I ordered for free from Lexus that I keep in the home office, downloaded PDF's I keep on my tablet and then of course the online editions I can search whenever. This information seems to have always been in the "What to do in an emergency..." section of the Owner's Manual.

In your edition of the manual it is page 381:

Am always interested in what all the little items do or do not in my vehicles. One of the things that pissed me off about the Lexus dealers in this area, both owned by the same corporate entity. When I would ask questions about something I would see in the Owner's Manual which did not make sense I was usually told that it was wrong -- do what we say not what it reads. Yet, the same information appeared in the Owner's Manuals year-after-year.
