Default Swapped Back-up Lights for LEDs (**PICS**)

Did this tonight. Huge difference! Did this because tough at night to see backing up with tinted windows.

I used the 921 lights from V-LED. For those interested, follow instructions on removing plastic panel in VIPNiSS's thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...led-bulbs.html

Obviously the difference is your removing the back up bulbs not the license plate bulbs...

Sorry for crappy pics, iphone doesn't work well at night.

Driver side changed. Passenger side stock...

Both changed...

Nice!
Those look extremely bright. I'd hate to be behind you when you are parallel parking Lol.

Did you have to add balancers? I tried this with LED (not the same as your) last year and the broken exterior light constantly popping up in the dashboard. Later I learned I need balancers for them. It appears that the one you have does not.

Do you experience any similar issue? If not, can you provide a link as to where you purchase these blubs? Thanks!

No balancers needed. Direct swap only.

Not sure during the day. Wasnt concerned about their day performance but really needed them at night.

look for your vehicle on left panel. make sure you ask for short one, if too long
it will not fit, specially the rare lights. these are called CANBUS meaning no error, it is resistor on its own.

If you're behind him when he's parallel parking aren't you just sitting still in your car? Close your eyes, lol.

Question

Alchemist,

I got the bulbs, tried to replace, but damn... those are so tight and my hands can't get a good grip to move them I don't have big hands, but I guess they are still big for lexus Any advice on pulling the old ones out? Or were you able to do it easily?

I'm assuming mine were never changed before...

Try some needle nose pliers but gently. If you are referring to pulling them out of the housing - then use some pliers - they twist then pull right out. Mine were tight as well. If you're referring to the actual bulb, those come out easy.

Used pliers, worked like magic! Thank you!

I also bought the 921s from vleds, did yours fit back in the housing alright? Mine seem be a bit too big, did fit though...
