How many miles do you have on your second generation 2007-9 RX 350?
I just purchased a 2008 Rx 350 this week. It is in magnificent condition, has all of the service papers and was given a very positive bill of health from the Lexus dealer we purchased it from. My question is how many miles can I hope to get on this engine if serviced well. It has 82,000 now so what is the general opinion of the forum friends?

I got nearly 300 on my first gen. Over 200 now on my second gen. Its a work vehicle for me, and I would expect this one to get easily 300 thousand. The engine is not the issue. The transmission and other aspects of the car will go out before the engine does in these Toyota's.

I have a 2004 model, and it has about 145,000 miles on it. It still runs like a champ. I am re-dying the interior and in a couple of months and the car will look brand new again
I am keeping this car until it dies

07 at about 80K miles. the only major problem we had with the vehicle was the VVT hose failing and dumping oil all over the highway the same week we got the recall notice for the redesigned hose. this happened around 50k and the vehicle was towed and repaired by the lexus dealership. and at about 75K we had an ignition coil failure which i thought was out of the ordinary for a toyota/lexus vehicle. that set us back about $200.
been doing oil changes every 5k miles on our own and it's been great so far. no oil burning or sludge

2007 with 75k. Bought it just over a year ago with 35k. Travel baseball, high school baseball, competitive cheerleading, spring break trip from Indiana to Florida. Hasn't missed a beat yet. By far the best vehicle I have ever owned.

Our 2007 has 98K. Getting ready to perform the 100K maintenance on it. Our steering rack has a very slight leak on the passenger's side, but I am going to wait till it gets worse before replacing it. The rest of it still looks and performs great! It is going to have to last until the kids finish college in 3 years, or maybe longer!

I just purchased a 2009 with 96k, gave 18 for it. I thought the price was high but it was the cheapest in 200 miles. Single owner with full service records. The only problem I have found is when the tranny is shifted out of park, the door locks "flutter". I am thinking actuator or relay issue. Other than that it's great.
I also have a 2001 Avalon with 287k and counting.
