I switched it from a black iPad Mini to a white iPad Mini 4G (GPS), here is a pic in the daytime. Not sure if I like the white or the black better...



I will post more pics of what it looks like without the iPad in place and more videos soon.

How much did the iPad - Lexus RX330 kit cost, and was it painted and finished? Thanks

Interesting mod and well done. However to me, it just looks out of place and doesn't flow very well with the dash at all.

The kit cost $1200. I know it is high, but to compare, the only decent local shop I found that even said they would try it, wanted to charge me $1000.00 for it. For $200.00 more, I had a guy in California do it that has done a lot of these.

It was painted and finished although the match isn't 100% perfect, I am happy with it. Remember, I sent it to him via mail, he didn't have the car to see and compare.

At the end of the day, I have an Ipad Mini in my car, there is nothing out there better, it is unique and I'll take it!

Thanks for your comment. Although it isn't perfect and might look out of place (it did come out 6 years later), I'm happy with the results (along with the sound upgrades) and glad to have the power of the internet at my fingertips and in my car. What's better than voice activated google search and maps, facetime calls, etc?
