Default Dash replacement

Anyone buy the dash replacement from Amazon that runs around 160 - 190.00. They have them in a dark and tan. Tired of looking at my eye sore cracked dash , but love my rx350. Thanks.

Biggest concern for me is how do you glue it down properly assuming it fits well enough. New dash padding from Lexus is $1000 have you considered that? Only viable if you can replace it yourself.

Default Dash Replacement

Hi, First of all it's not a replacement, it's just plastic cover that fits over most of the dash, but not all of it. I got the tan cover, it looked OK, but you could tell it just a cover that fits over the old dash. The color was close, it fit so-so and I wasn't entirely satisfied. It wouldn't stay glued and lay flat in a few places, even after repeated attempts. I eventually removed it and had the entire dash replaced with an OEM dash at a local Upholstery shop. I love my New Dashboard. I'm sure the cover is satisfactory for most people, but it wasn't for Me.

I bought one of the DashMat covers for $60-70. It it does a great job of eliminating the reflective glare I was getting off the old dash,.....and looks well,.....OKish. No gluing require, In fact I just layed it up on top and it sits there without moving.

Looks like a dashboard mat is a viable option in covering a cracked one. And the glare reduction is a plus. Note that there is no center spear hole.

I'm going to be ordering this one; https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...mend-recommend

I think the glue-on ones look like ***. They stick out like a sore thumb. For the interim I used SUGRU glue to fill in cracks and black shoe polish - it covered up the deep cracks half decent. I found the DIY in the 2IS forums, suggesting SUGRU.

The carpeted are better, but I'll first try the vinyl sheet option from AliX.

Dash
If You Know anyone that can get You a discount at the Lexus or Toyota dealer, then the cost of the OE Dash is around $800 and a upholstery or trim shop should be able to replace the old dash for about $400 or so labor.
It's all about what you can settle for.
On my RX, it was cracked All over!! And when I put the dash cover on, you could still see the big cracks where the passenger side air bag is, there was a large rectangular cutout in the dash cover there, so any cracks there were still visible. Also it's Very Very difficult to get the Armor All or dash protectant off the old dash, and the adhesive to hold down the new plastic cover won't stick to the old dash. Just saying, a lot to consider.

I went w/ a Coverking one, which looks similar to that one. I ended up trimming the leading edge so it sits flush w/ the windshield. Our rx dash isn't cracked, just the oem dash pad looks cheap at the price point of this vehicle.....Many least spendy vehicle's have better looking & feeling oem dash pads then these's.......
