I feel the RX and LS are both very reliable vehicles as rated over and over again on numerous sites. I have been on this site for a week now checking out the RX to replace my Touareg which I like alot, which is 012 with a 100k platinum warrantee but wife lost job payment is rediculous(I know talk about the most unreliable vehicle out there).

Lexus makes alot of vehicles and again I have the LS. The carrier bearings, oil lines, wheel bearings, radiators all things to note on RX reliability are well above the noted problems on the LS. Base price LS in 04-06 the second generation is 55k$ so go figure. I have only been on this side for a week though so maybe I hit a bad week.

Now if you go ahead to the LS 460 you start to see concerns with bulletproof reliability, so maybe the LS430 is just these few short 6 years where technology and build quality where balanced pretty well.
