Default Timing Belt / Chain scheduled replacement on 08?

I see people discussing timing belt replacement on the RX as a scheduled item at 90K miles. I think that's only on older ones, right? I have a 2008 RX350 AWD and the only thing in the maintenance booklet is that the RX uses a timing chain (not a belt) and no inspection is required (presumably no scheduled replacement either).

Seems like that would be the most costly scheduled item as one gets into high mileage so I'm glad if I don't need it. I've done oil & filter replacements, brake pads, and air filters (engine and cabin) myself. Spark plugs I may have to get done if it requires significant disassembly just to get to.

I recently had the "pleasure" of the oil cooler tube failing. I took it to a Toyota dealer for that. Although it did not leave me literally stranded by the side of the road (I made it home adding oil a couple of times, then had it towed for service), it more or less did and that never happened with my last two vehicles, both driven into the 150-160K range. My Grand Cherokee had a myriad of small things wrong but still quite usable when I sold it. Before that, what I thought was a blown head gasket on my Honda Prelude turned out to be a tiny crack in the block. But it didn't leave me at the side of the road either. Whoda thunk it would happen with a Lexus?

The RX350 uses a timing chain and thus does not need replacement nor does it have any schedule for replacement.

The RX330 does have a timing belt. So, when we are talking about 2nd Generation RX needing to replace this part we are referring to 2004-2006 RX330.

The RX400h uses the same basic gas engine as the RX330, so it too has to have its timing belt replaced as needed.
