Default No AM/FM or CD, but Cassette and Ipod

My daughters 07-RX 350 has no am/fm or CD but cassett and Ipod integration works. I ran diagnostics and clear codes but one. CD1 had a code DCON I believe. Does any one know what's going on here? We put a aftermarket Ipod kit in it which has never presented any problems except the cable had a short in it that we replaced but one day the Radio just quit. Is their any fuses that could present problems, the AMP diagnostic showed good?

Welcome to Club Lexus, MDRICKETTS.

With the cassette adapter and iPod connector putting out sound you can assume the amp is in working condition.

Not sure about the DCON error code. Perhaps disconnected. You might want to check to see that all cables are connected correctly behind the system. A loose connection can easily cause this problem. As for fuses, you can have a look at #23 in the engine bay. Here is the info on fuses from the Owner's Manual for your vehicle:

Thanks, for the info. I have taken the radio out and everything was snug, the Ipod integration company said it wasn't anything their device would cause. I would think if a fuse was out that the audio system would be kaput. This is very puzzling, because they replaced the cable to the iPod and made sure everything was good. So i'm bacsically looking at hauling it in to have the "pros" look at it.

With the radio out, I would verify that the ground and power to the head unit are correct. Just because a fuse is "OK" doesn't mean the circuit is OK. If everything checks out, perhaps you can pick up another head unit form a salvage yard and plug everything in and check it that way.
