Nice work, but IMO not a good look for this car.

I don't care for this look either, it just doesn't work well with the RX.

Sorry Jackieh,
but I have to agree with everyone above - not a great look. Maybe if the car was black or flint mica...., but not with a lighter body. Looks very Scion Xb-ish. Looks like you have some very dirty/dusty rims... And the shiny center cap and the lug nuts gotta go. Sorry.
Good job on the paint application though. Wish it was all the way to the back of the rim on the inside...

I would recommend a trim restorer for the lower bumper trim and rocker panels (like Back to Black or any other brand - I used Turtle Wax trim restorer) - it makes that waxed-over and oxidized plastic look stunningly brand new! Will go good with the black rims!

Sorry dude, it makes the car look cheap. That look certainly does not look any good.

I keep my OEM wheels in winters just so i don't have to have the ****ty steelie & winter tire look like 90% of canadian cars on the road.

And you purposely made it look like that...

One of the great things about this forum is that we learn about the cars and we learn from the experiences of others. Often we get helpful tips regarding the upkeep and modification of the RX. We get invaluable information here.
Sometimes we learn from the mistakes of others.
So thanks, Jackieh in Texas, for taking that bullet for the rest of us.

I think it would look a lot better if you went out and bought a set of black lug nuts. I know Discount Tire can order them (I had them order a set of black splines for my 2010 Highlander when I put black rims on it). Perhaps maybe painting the center caps black as well?

Excellent paint job! Way better than I could do, that's for sure.

I have no problems with the black. I mean, it's your car so do what you want with it but spray paint? Good luck with that holding up...
