Replace tailgate motor
So I have narrowed down the problem with the tailgate of my RX 350 to the tailgate motor. I have removed the struts that open the tailgate and the door still won't open. So I am guessing the problem is with the motor.
Is there anything else that I could check or just get the motor replaced? I don't have a whole lot of DIY experience so any advice regarding whether this is DIY level work for a novice or better done by a professional would help too.
Thanks

The multiplex computer is shot, PN 89222-0E020. Call dealer with your VIN to confirm this. If you are not very handy with the tools get any mechanic to change it out.Not that hard. To get the door open manually I beleive it's in your manual some where. Search around for the part on-line. The dealer wants to much for it, around 500.00. These power doors were cool in the day but now everybody has a version of it, even low end Toyota's have them so maybe you can cross reference a cheaper part. Jamie
