Panel Removal to Rear Seat Entertainment System ECU
Folks,
I am trying to install a USA SPEC BT35-TOY into my 2006 RX 400H. However, since this vehicle has a rear seat entertainment system, the USA SPEC adapter is not supposed to be plugged into the radio.
According to the manual: http://usaspec.com/userfiles/BT35_Manual_complete.pdf
I need to locate rear seat ECU in the passenger side rear quarter panel.
Does anyone know how to get this panel off? I have searched the rx, highlander, and sienna forums. There are no videos on youtube either and can not google the answer.
I have attached a picture of the panel. Also, does anyone know if the rear seat ECU is located under the top or bottom of the two panels shown.
I will post pictures of the installation for everyone.
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi,
did you eventually complete this installation? I am in the process of doing an installation too and I am confused on how to approach the RSE since the adapter doesn't fit behind the HU.

Unfortuately, I did not. I never did figure out how to get the panels off in my rx400h. I felt like I was going to break something. Did you figure yours out? I might try again sometime soon.
