Default noise from right rear

Hey guys, I just noticed that my RX is making "sha sha sha" noise (proportional to the car speed) from the right side back tire/rotor when I am coasting. The nosie doesn't change when I use the brake. I haven't driven the car fro about 6 months, and today was first time driving it. in a while. It is a 2008 RX 350 FWD with about 23,000 miles. Before I take it to the shop, I would appreciate any thoughts. DO I need any maintenace lubricant on any axles ?rusted rotor. I am hoping it is not the bearing or drive shaft.

Was the parking brake set while it was parked?

My pickup will do that if I leave the brake set for long periods.

Could just be rust on the parking brake drum inside the rotor, you could try slowing pushing the parking brake down while driving slowly on a side road to see if the noise goes away. Keep in mind you'll have to stop completely to turn the parking brake off so do the test away from traffic.

No, I didn't have the parking brake on, but my car was parked at a slight decline (10-15 degrees). Any other thoughts?

It might be a wheel Wheel Bearing. I would have Lexus check it out. You would be covered under the drive train warranty.

while it could be wheel bearing, I would think that it sitting for six months caused a lot of rust build-up, particularly on the inside of the rotor that you cannot see. Wheel bearing would create more of a roaring noise...

Actually that sound was how mine sounded, turned out being a front left wheel bearing.
