Congratulations on a very nice Lexus RX. One thing caught my eye and I hate it. The dealership that sold this vehicle stuck their crummy chrome name plate above the Lexus one.

Having said that, the dealer is still going to do the 90K service and change timing belt, what else should I be aware of besides what was already stated here?

Any suprises since you brought it home? or things you wish you would have done?
Sorry for the delayed response, been out of town for a week without much internet coverage.

We ended up taking the RX on a vacation, about 1500 miles and it did great.

Very comfortable seating, nice smooth ride and decent MPG, about 22 in the mountains driving with a full load a little above the posted speeds

The car drives much better with 32psi in the tires than 30.

The only nitpicks I have with the car are the cruise control (it races back to speed after hitting resume, even if it only needs 3 mph it will downshift) and the transmission hunts between 4th and 5th on uphills with the cruise on so I ended up just leaving it in 4th on major uphills so it wouldn't keep shifting.

I changed the oil and filter before leaving just for peace of mind and it was very easy to change.

This fall I will do the timing belt, water pump and front control arms, but I can't find anything else it needs yet. So far we are happy with it, just wish it had more power.

If I were looking again I would not worry about the Nav/ camera it is pretty poor compared to more modern units. I would just as soon have the standard AC controls and add a new double DIN head unit with nav/bluetooth etc. Although the ML audio sounds great.

So I would buy the car that is in the color you like with a solid history before worrying about specific options.

Good luck with it!
