Default Trailer Hitches for 2006 400h

we just bought a 2006 400h and want to add a trailer hitch to we can add a bike rack and/or small plarform for a moped. i've found a lexus one $369, and the Curt is $160.

my question has anyone installed the Curt or any other non-lexus hitch and do they have any comments or complaints? is it worth $200 more for the lexus version? i cannot see why but excpet maybe it fits and looks better. thanks :-)

btw, we've been averaging 28+mpg in our first two weeks! and for an SUV. i owned a toyota corrola and got 33, then an avalon that got 25, and now a luxury SUV that gets more than 28+, i'm SOLD!

No need to purchase a Lexus hitch from the dealer. You can purchase a Toyota Highlander if you want something from the factory. Curt is also an option as is UHaul.

Use the search features of the forum(s) and you will see a number of existing threads on this topic with plenty of suggestions on where to purchase, especially the cap. That you may want to have a Lexus logo on it.

From your previous post today it looks like you already have the transmission cooler so you are most of the way there already.

I have a UHaul one. Looks great! Highly suggest getting it. Its like half the price of the one from Lexus.

Around $160 as well. You can get info right off the UHaul web site.
