Power Window - one touch down stopped working!
I'm wondering if I did something to make the window no longer automatically go all the way up or down with one touch - or if it's broken?
Anyone know something about this? It's fine otherwise - just have to hold it down or up all the way now.
Thanks!

I had similiar symptom with my 08. If you have not disconnected the battery, you best bet is to go to the deal for them to re-initialize the control board for the WIndow. I don;t know what went wrong and the dealer just told me that the board needs to be re-initialized. BY thw way, before I went to the dealer, I tried the initialization process described in the owner manual and it didn;t work for me. You can try it also. The dealer said that they had to take the board out for doing something. Hopefully your 09 is still in basic warranty.

I just had this happen as well, but no need to go to the dealer dcdyd. If I remember correctly, to re-set simply push/hold the window down, and continue to hold for a few seconds. Then do the same in the up position. Should be in your owner manual as well. I dont have any idea why it (forgot) the setting, but it did.

Lexus114, I performed that process several times before I went to the dealer. That process is what you need to do if you have disconnected the battery for maintainance work. The lights on the Window button also indicates whether this process work or not. 350 service manual describes this in more detail.
May be I was not lucky so that the board went into a dead loop. It happens for circuits especially if it controlled by programming.

It is an 09 and well within the warranty (I assume). Take it in.

A suggestion here. May be when LexiRx is in the dealer, ask the service manager why the emory could be lost and how they can reset or reinitialize it. Some service manager may be willing to describe that. My service manager was not willing to say or he doesn't understand it at all.

The procedure is in the owner's manual. If I recall correctly, you lower the window (doesn't have to be all the way down just enough so you can raise it again), then raise it all the way and hold the button in the raise position for two or three seconds (and make sure you pull the button up till it clicks for the one touch up and hold it up in the clicked position). You have to do it individually at each window control.
If it's not working, I'd suggest pulling the negative cable off the battery to clear everything and then do the window switch reset again.

To reset, have the window closed. Hold the switch to open, continue to hold until it is down all the way. Then hold the switch all the way up until it closes completely. That process should reset it. It worked beautifully for my moonroof. Tried the same with the tilt switch because it also was opening the moonroof completely...now the tilt tilts and the regular opening switch opens with one touch. It was so simple. He told me the reset for the windows is the same. Hope this helps.

There you go. All in the manual, too.

I have an RX350 and had this problem when my battery had died last weekend. I read the replies and went out and did the down hold for 10 sec/hold up for 10 sec on each window and problem is now fixed. But I had to do it on each door, not on the driver's four switches.
