fender bender.... RX400h front bumper on RX330??
Hey all,
I got into a bit of a fender bender during a snowboarding trip in Utah, It cracked from the fog light down the bottom of the bumper pretty well along with some paint being shaved right off. Anyways I need a new bumper as a part of the repairs. I was thinking since I need a new bumper i mines well grab the Rx400 one with the extra grill and circular fog lamps. Does anyone know if it is compatible with the RX330?

Yes it is compatible. For a bill of materials, try getting into Sewell.com and search for the Hybrid. We do have a discount for Club Lexus. To get details, search on the classifieds section for approved vendors. Quite a few people have asked about this upgrade. Might as well get the Hybrid Grille to match.

Yes, the fog lights are round on the hybrid. Also, there is an air intake on the bumper and the front radiator grill rests flush against the bumper (e.g. no gap), unlike the air intake on the standard RX. I'm not sure if that would negatively impact the cooling system or not.

The lack of the gap where the hood/front grill meets the bumper would probably be more than made up by the extra opening in the bumper that the hybrid has in order to cool the inverter radiator.

If you were to replace the while front, then yes you need to get the whole assembly. The bumpers will attach the same way, you will need to re-wire to the new fogs which should not be a biggie. The air dam opening should not matter much.

Thank You all for your replies, Lexus's body shop quoted me a little over $5000 so I took it to Cadillacs since weve had numerous of our cars done there and they gave me $2300 and they are certified for Lexus... I have to replace the one fog light as it was scraped I think they said its $220 or something like that so with replacing one already im half way tehre mines well do the other if I want the 400h look... Only bad part is im coming out of pocket for this. The damage was worse than I thought, It hit just right to where it knocked the unibody out of alinement by 3mm and might have damaged the collision bar behind the bumper.
