I wonder if that replaces both the resonator and the mid muffler? Several people here have installed the Magnaflow 14829 but for a complete cat back system the mid muffler needs to be replaced with a resonator.

Very interesting and not that pricy. Why don't you go ahead and install one? The double Magnaflow will actually be a less expensive option.

It says cat back system. No resonator? Be pretty loud with just the back muff I would think.

I just listened to a bunch of them on youtube and it's too noisy for me. This is the deepest tone I could find and it's still pretty fart canish...

exhaust systems produce very little HP gains. Sometimes if the exhaust is too free flowing you will lose some low-end torque. this problem increasing with larger displacement engines

^^^ that does not mean don't do it. Did not happen with mine when I got the Magnaflow.

I've owned trucks in the past and learned this over the years. The acceleration feels mushy when you let the exhaust breath too much.

Most people tend to go with aftermarket exhaust systems for aesthetic reasons and a different exhaust note. I would do the same if that sort of thing interested me.

I have the Lexus chrome tip, the edges are rolled, from the factory and I'm pretty happy with how it looks.

I got small gains on the low gear from my Magnaflow. But still gains. There is so much inhibiting this engine. Freaken intake has so many compartments its not funny. But yes I agree mostly for looks and maybe sound for some.
