Like this repair. This is basically what I sealed. Knowing what I know now, tearing the headlamp apart was not necessary.

Try this 1st, if it does not work, more sealing required.

Another member did this, but mine was basically the same area.

What is happening is that rain (or any source of water, like car wash) will seep into casing through small cracks berween the casing.

Our headlamps are designed to allow evaporation of water vapor. But saturation of water is too much. hence it takes days, weeks for the water condensation to disappear.

One of the things I have contemplated was to replace the headlights. For now, I am going to patch them with Permatex as discussed, however, when I inspected the lenses they seemed a bit cloudy on the inside of the lens. Probably from moisture over the years.

So, while watching the football games this evening I took a look on eBay. Found these:

Anyone else replace their halogen lenses up front who can suggest a vendor to look at? Quality? Price? Are the third-party ones any good?

Was going to take the front bumper off to be repainted anyway. This can be done at the same time.

Input is appreciated.

Had the same problem with both headlamps. My extended warranty was expired. Dealer wanted about $5000.00 for parts and labor. Called corporate office in Ontario. Both headlamps replaced for FREE of charge.

Those look as good as any, good seller too. You might give them a good seal before you install them.

There is a class action lawsuit against Lexus regarding the headlight moisture issue. Who knows how that will turn out or how long it will take:

That is usually great for the lawyers while those affected by the defect are left with pennies on the dollar for their troubles. Am going to guess the best we will get is a credit towards a future purchase (sales or service).

Noticed that the price on these dropped to $230 for the pair. So, went ahead and purchased. When I get to do the install is another matter. May be a bit.
