Anyone else purchase a 07 CPO recently? Can you post what was listed at the dealer, as well as what you got for it, and options?

Careful that if they take your offer that they do not try to backload some dealer fees on you.

RX is widely available. So you can always find one. most lexus owners take good care of their car.

Wow, this thread is making me feel pretty good about my purchase this week! For comparison here in MD I picked up an 09 RX350 on Monday for $27,500. 38k miles, awd, navi, Premium Plus, 18" wheels. Not CPO but under Lexus bumper to bumper warranty for a bit.

Wow+1 that is a awesome price for for a loaded 2009 AWD. You could not touch that vehicle here is CA for less than 33K.

CPO can add a couple thousand to the price.

If you are still under the Lexus warranty you can still purchase an extended warranty up to 100K miles should you desire. Just search here for the info.

My understanding is that a dealer spends 4 or 5 times on a CPO car than on one that is not CPO, since Lexus is going to stand behind the car for an additional 3 years. In the world of used cars, it's a pretty good deal.

That is a very nice purchase, but did you buy it from a lexus dealership? Or was it private seller? Was it dealer maintained? Was it listed for that price? Also, what color ext/int is it, as that seems to make a very big difference in price of the car. I've seen 2 exact same cars, all things being equal, and a savannah metallic exterior (beige int) and a flint mica ext (black int) both at the same dealer, for almost $2k difference list price.

They tried this when i negotiated on my wifes, we came to a price and when he emailed me the contract to sign it had about$400 in dealer fees added on. Luckily i read online that these fees are a scam so i stuck to my original offer and they waved the BS fees lol. The sales contracts always have some fees already typed in even on blank ones to make you think that this is normal and to be honest i've paid some before but not anymore

You got a sick deal for sure boosteddsm!

So regarding negotiations, the Lexus dealer has the 07 RX 60k, AWD, navi, CPO, flint mica/blk 60k miles maint done, fully dealer serviced, 1 owner-personal car. Their list was 27.8, I got them down to 26.4k (including any dealer/doc fees, temp tags) plus TTL. There are a few scratches (that they said they would try to buff out), and there is a small tear on the leather (on the back passenger door trim) that the manager said they will let me know if they will get a leather specialist out, or sell as is. The tear is most concerning for me. Thoughts on this guys?

Got it from a Honda dealership. Was a lease so all the maintenance was done at a Lexus dealer down the street from the Honda, evidenced from the Carfax. Honda dealer put 2 new tires on it too. They just dropped to asking $28k for it since it was sitting there since February so I couldn't really talk them down much. Everything else comparable in the area was $33k+. I think the exterior is called Breakwater Blue (like a powder blue, a bit of a girly color but it's for the wife), beige interior. Is in really good shape too, 2 small rips on interior of door and a couple hits on the door guard molding from other cars. Other than that not a ding or scratch on it. Leather is mint, as is the dash, etc.

You got a good deal. However, that being said, the same car you bought, had it been a different color combo (blk/blk, or flint mica), it wouldn't have sold for that price. But overall, good deal! Are you planning to buy a warranty for it?

Interesting thing about the rips on the door leather...is this common for RX's, or just by chance both the car I'm looking at and the car you bought have it?

I got a 3rd party warranty, either I can take it into the Honda dealer I bought it from (which I wouldn't do) or take it to the Lexus dealer and pay a $50 deductible, which I'm fine w/if I have any issues.

I just got a CPO 2008 with 27K miles for 29K in Las Vegas. Dealer have 1.9% interest finance. That is why I go with CPO instead of other non-lexus dealer.

Welcome, adtruck. Good point. I not always just about the price upfront. Rather, it is the total amount paid in the end.
