Default Fuel mileage loss?

Have you guy`s here in the North East noticed any fuel millage loss lately? I can barely get 18mpg. Last year at this time I was in the mid 19`s and I have spoken to others near me,and they are noticing the same thing! What the hell are they doing to our gasoline now!? Today`s vehicles are already burning as clean as they can, they dont need any help.

Disgusted here in PA!

From what I've heard, they add more ethanol in your gas during summer that may result in loss in fuel mileage and performance. Try out ethanol-free gas in your area. Here's a link: http://pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=PA

Thank you so much for that link. My sister lives about half a mile from one of the stations on the list. She has a '57 T-Bird that really struggles with ethanol fuel and that poor 55 year old 312 will appreciate some good old retro 100% dino gas!

She's heading over there as we speak.

The problem is real! you can read this article written about EPA and fuel problems. http://www.timesrecord.com/articles/...e652646009.txt
My city doesn't have ethanol-free gas either but when im traveling, i'd love to find a station on the road to fill a full tank of 100% virgin gas!

I have several antiques and I am able to obtain gas without ethanol. Sourced for marine use, I have a pickup with a large capacity fuel storage tank in the rear which I fill to service the older vehicles and the farm tractor.

Would check with your local marina or boat shop.
