Question '06 RX330, need help with leak!

2006 RX330 - 80k miles

I have no idea where it is coming from. Last night had the car outside during a rainstorm. Next day, rear carpet (carpet behind the front seats soaked on passenger side. There was a pool of water between the rear left door sill and the rear left side of the seat. The carpet was also damp on the right side behind the front passenger seat but not as soaked as the left.

It is not the sunroof and I had my windows up

Funny thing is the rear seats, headliner, doors, walls, etc. were not wet! Could it be running down inside the body from a leak at the roof rack? What about the door handle?

Any help would be very much appreciated before I go tearing into her.

UPDATE: So after searching and reading many threads, the sunroof drain holes seem to be the issue. So after checking the front drain holes they seem to be the culprit after pouring water into them and watching my carpet become damp. Does anyone know where to access the holes underneath the vehicle so I can blow them out with compressed air as they must be clogged? When I pour water in from the top it leaks out a number of places on both sides underneath not just one hole on each side.

When I figure all of this out I will take pics for those that need this info in the future.

UPDATE II:

I wanted to circle back on this. The culprit was the REAR sunroof drain tubes. They were clogged. Dealer took off both rocker panels and blew air up the tubes and cleaned them right out. Problem solved. The majority of water was found in the back seat floor board.

Sounds like you need to grab a friend, and a strong garden hose. One of you sit inside, while the other drenches the out side of the vehicle.

The drain holes on the sunroof may be clogged...Open the sunroof and find the four holes. These generally lead down to the wheel wells...Hard to find but many have had clogged lines and this is what causes leaks.

Thanks, I will try it. Are there similar drain holes in the doors? Because I did also notice some water on the door sills as well.

Was your car parked on a flat surface or on an incline?

Flat surface. I'm gonna hose it down today to see if I find anything but am open to any more suggestions.

Welcome to Clublexus. Just a couple of tips.

Search Google prior to posting any questions. If you have no luck.

Use the search function on Clublexus. It is outstanding.

Every question you could possibly think of asking. Ever. Has already been answered.

A 10 second search on Club Lexus found this.

Its the Sunroof or A/C drain lines. Buy a can of compressed air. And hit all of them.
