Default Hello Second Gen forum!

I'll tell you my sad tale wherein this...

...became this...

...then turned into this!

It's an '05 with 73k in great condition. It has the premium plus package which is apparently the usual stuff plus HIDs. Really drives like a dream, it's the first second gen I've ever driven and it is certainly a different car from my 300. Nothing fancy but it is in comparable condition to my perfect little lamented 300.

Hope you people are as much fun as the first gen bunch! Gonna miss LexMex.

R.I.P. 300 Hello 330

Congrats. It looks great. Those wheels though scream replace me. So dull. I can't wait to see what touches you put on it. And who would have thought a week ago you'd have a new RX. Best of luck!

Yeah, one week! The reason I rushed into this one was so I could get the chrome wheels off the 300 and the wide armrests as well before they take it to RX heaven. Rest assured, there will be modding going on!

So, Carver, did the insurance company total your old car? What was the repair estimate and do you mind if I ask you what they gave you for it?

The repair ended up being over 11k so they did total it. The settlement was very good, they took all the mods and the condition into consideration. I was able to take my chrome wheels and the wide armrests so the new car acquisition was very favorable buck wise.

I did have to rush to buy a car so I could have something to swap the wheels on to before they towed the old one off but I'm very happy with the car.

Wow......... Well, by the look of things, you came out on top. Congrats on the new car - no more transmission worries!

Carver, are you going naked up top? I see you didn't have the roof rack on the 300, same as my 300. I kept them on the 330 but did remove the cross bars.

Funny you should mention that. The 330 is at Sewell right now getting the master cylinder TSB and they kept it overnight because the roof kit won't be in until the morning.

The kit is 70 bucks and they wanted 100 to remove the rails and I'm just not incompetent enough with a wrench to pay that so it'll be in the back when I pick it up tomorrow.

But yes, I'll be topless for the summer!

BTW: They gave me a new GS for a loaner and it feels like a kiddie car. The windshield looks about 8 inches tall and it is cramped in there but that 350 engine is Sweeeet! I really don't think I'll own a regular car again.
