Default 2005 RX Radiator Leak

Looked at my radiator fluid...I couldnt see it so it definitely is low. Here is what I need help with. I could see that radiator fluid had spilled down the side of the radiator. It definitely looks like it dripped all the way down the side as it crystalized on the side. In other words it does not look like it broke on the bottom of the radiator.

Does this automatically mean I have a leak? How can I tell?

Is there a TSB? What is a LSB? I saw another post referencing LSB # POL05-03 to a leakage issue.

I have the heavy duty radiator package which I assume is the towing package. AWD RX made in Canada.

TSB's are only performed for free if the vehicle is still covered under warranty. Or unless the dealer decides to "good will" it.

they are under no obligation to perform it if you no longer have any warranty.

you should still contact them, they still may cover it.

but in the mean time, i would hose off the affected area and top up you radiator, at least then you can get a better idea of where it is leaking.

I thought Lexus extended the time under which somebody could get the TSB, like two more years beyond basic warranty. Only one way to find out. Check with your dealer. Good luck.

Awesome, thanks all. I will call them tomorrow. I saw others claim that they did extend this to 7 years and 90,000 mi but I am not sure what model year, etc. I have not seen anything official, but will keep looking.

Dealer confirmed that I had a cracked radiator and replaced it free of charge. Also told me the warranty has been extended for this part to 7 years 90,000 miles. Hope I wont be back for this issue.

Took care of the brake TSB at the same time.

Filled the car with gas, things went smoothly so I have no complaints.

Thanks everyone for the guidance and info. These boards are a lifesaver.

Glad to see everything worked out. When that happened to me, I lost the letter that extended the warranty and really have to convince the SA to look for the TSB.

My extended radiator warranty was given to me when I came in for another issue. I was notified via the Owner's link. When I prompted the SA, she said you are getting an extended warranty since you do not have the problem so far.

The brake recall notification came from the Owner's link and a letter.

Default Radiator

I just thought I would post that I have a 2005 RX330 and am on my 4th radiator. Have been going back and forth with Lexus for 7 days now and they have agreed to yet again replace the radiator...
