Re-set moon roof
Changed battery in 2004 RX and now have everything re-set but the moon roof. Is there a special thing I have to do to get the "one-touch" buttons to work again? It works fine if I hold the button down for back or up. Help me if you can.

The procedure is in your owner's manual. I'd tell you except I don't remember exactly how. I think you hold the tilt button in the forward position until the sunroof tilts up/down and slides open and closed..

Yeah had to do the procedure that was in the manual. Rcy think you're right, you had to hold the tilt button so that the roof tilts up and down and slides fully open and closed.

What are you resetting though? I am confused. I mean is there some auto function that you will miss out on if you don't reset it? I never really open or adjust it much so.

There are a couple of functions that resetting the roof allows you to do (in my experience)
1) When closing the roof it allows the roof to actually fully shut. After I had the battery disconnected, the roof wouldn't close properly, so allowing air disruption in the cabin. While holding the switch down to close the roof (regardless of tilt or slide) the roof would close to where it's meant to and give it a proper and full seal.
2) I have the option turned on on my car, where when holding down the unlock button on the remote, all the windows and moon-roof open. Love that feature, just wish there was a button to allow them to be wound up . I use the key in the door and then this closed all the windows and moon-roof fully.
There may be some other things, but that's it from my perspective.

Pretty much the same procedure for the windows. The windows also have the auto feature esp the RX's. Hold down till all the way down for 7 sec. then all the way up till stops thjen 7 secs.

All those reset procedures are in the owner's manual. For the windows, you only have to open slightly then close, holding the switch in the up position for a few seconds. No need to hold it down at all.
