Talking Warranty check!!!!!!

So I am nearing to the end of my 100k CPO warranty and I decided that the best thing to do is take it to my Lexus dealer and have them do a once over

I drop my car off Friday afternoon, have a loaner throught out the long weekend its an IS250 in case your wondering. I called in yesterday to find out the status and was told that they were going to replace my control arms since the bushings were shot under warranty and also.....wait for it.....wait for it...........

My transmission!!!!!!!!!!! They did a "stall test" and noted that the hydraulic pressure was out of spec. The pressure was low which caused my tranny to stutter before it shifted gears. So I am getting a rebuilt transmission for FREE!!! Covered under warranty, the SA said it was a $4k hit just for the tranny alone.

Man I love my Lexus dealership and service advisor!!!!! For those of you who live in the Sacramento/Elk Grove/Roseville and surrounding areas I wanna recommend Roseville Lexus and Athena as the service advisor!!!!

I have an 05 and I had done the TSB, however it didnt help much. It just felt as if something wasnt right and I am glad they found the problem BEFORE I ran out of warranty.

I just wanted to let the 2nd gen community know this info.
For those who are still under warranty might wanna double or triple check while you can. You never know you too could end up with same problem I did.

Your CPO paid handsomely well! Well worth the investment. Good job!

I bought the extended Lexus Platinum Warranty and it does not work as well as the CPO.

However, I will call my Service Advisor and ask my options if any to get the RX checked before my warranty ends in January 2011.

Wish me luck.

Yes I know I was worried as to how my tranny was going to play out after my warranty was up...hopefully now I wont have to worry about it.

Kind of sad that a Lexus would have transmission problems with less than 100K miles on it.

Roseville Lexus service dept. must of had a complete make over since I bought my 08 RX there. I wouldn't take my bicycle there to get the chain lubed. Hope everything works out for you.
