Default Rear carrier bushings??

My mechanic located the source of the clunking noise from the rear, noticed usually going over larger bumps, turning into driveways, etc.

He said it's the rear carrier bushing, driver side. Problem is, parts suppliers only sell the entire knuckle assembly, along with recommending the replacement of the wheel bearing. All for a stinkin bushing!! I was quoted $1500 for the repair.

Does anyone know where to find the rear carrier bushings aftermarket? I've been looking all afternoon, and so far have come up with nothing.

Also wondering if anyone knows if these parts would be interchangeable with a Camry, since the RX 330 is loosely built on the Camry's platform. I've been able to find the bushings for the Camry, but without dimensions or any way of comparing them, I have no idea if they're the same or not.

Yeah man, I think you're right. I'm going to try to find a newer model with low mileage to replace the parts with. Pain in the butt!

EDIT: I tracked down the knuckles from an '08 Highlander (showed up in the parts search for my '04 RX 330), so I'm assuming it's the same part. Low miles, just over 6000k.

They're only $85/side, would it be better to replace both sides? Seems like if one's worn out, the other isn't far behind.

Also, do I need to replace the hubs/bearing assembly as well? Lexus told me that they're recommended to be replaced at the same time, and my mechanic told me that as well.

No guarantees on a suspension part like that it will be the same from Highlander to RX. You will want to make sure. At $85 a pop, if it is the same part I would order both sides. Unlike shocks, you do not need to replace both sides at the same time. Bearings, those are recommended to replace at the same time. Sound conflicted and confusing? Is one of those water pump / timing belt issues. While you are in there and have already paid to tear everything apart you might as well pay to replace those items which have a tendency to wear out.
