I currently have a 2004 RX with a 6 CD Changer, no Mark Levinson or Navigation. The newer 350s have MP3 discs playing capability. I did a little research and the systems, plugs and all are similar. Could this be a plug and play seeing that the wiring is the same?

Try finding a 07-09 stereo in a local junk yard, ask them to plug it in to test it before buying, if it works, get it. I think it should work.

another option would be to buy a garmin or tom tom GPS with FM transmitter. then you can just put your music on that and away you go,

I was thinking the same thing, there's a huge junk yard about an hour away, but then again how many RXs do you see in a junk yard, especially 07-09?

"We don't do any replacements, we just do repairs." was my answer.

For now I have my take deck, I just wished I could control the songs through my fingertips (steering wheel).

Unfortunately this was one of those things Lexus opted NOT to provide, an Aux input for an MP3 player. Blows!
