Yes, you're right. So far, I've mostly been getting information, and have only been able to empathize with others issues. Hopefully, as I own the RX longer, I'll be able to help.

I will say in reply to someone else's post about reading the manual, that I have read it nearly cover to cover. I've owned probably 20-30 vehicles in my life, and have always done that. To date, the Lexus manual is the most confusing and their index nearly useless for anything I've tried to find, of any I've read.

I don't know if "MOWMOW" is still here or not, but I wanted to thank him/her for this post - It was driving me crazy knowing it could be done but not knowing how...

- I shift to park frequently if I know I have a 2 minute or greater stop light.

- the doors were unlocking even though the engine was running and doors closed - I manually re-locked them

- using these instructions for our (spectacular) 2008 Lexus RX350, after all this time, the doors (all doors) now automatically unlock "ONLY" after the ignition is off and I open the driver door

If this information is in any of the many owners manuals we have, I still haven't located it (we do have the NAV option adding more manuals)

Thanks again for posting this info

Here it is out of the 2008 RX350 Owner's Manual:

http://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/do.../sec_01-02.pdf

Perhaps not as clear as the instructions posted previous.

RX330inFL . . .

Well, my manual looks nothing like yours and I guess that makes sense since you have a different model - HOWEVER, you were right, Right there in page 8 or 9 it starts. It helped to look at your pages. I went looking for the "Bright RED" pages. Mine were a very brownish off-red, but very similar pages were definitely there. Maybe it "was" fairly clear, but it wasn't as obvious as "the post" as you mentioned. Thank you...

Actually, that is taken directly from the 2008 RX350 Owner's Manual that you can find online with Lexus. I cannot say how it compares to the printed edition. You can search any OM for any year and model. Give it a try:

Default owner's manual

I wish people would stop saying that this or that thing is in the owner's manual, because the owner's manuals are not all the same! If someone is asking a question, please just answer it if you can.
