I do 5K on synthetic which comes to be about every 6 months.

10000 KM, which is about 6200 miles on synthetic.

Just as an aside, wife's 2010 Equinox with the direct injection 3.0 6 cylinder is going 16000km (10000 miles) per the GM oil life monitor, and I'm guessing it's only conventional oil. Mind you, she is probably 90% highway...still I wouldn't leave it in that long if it was me, but it's a company vehicle, so we're going by the OLM.

5K on oil (Pennzoil Platinum -- getting ready to try Ultra), 10K on oil filter (either a Mobil 1 or Fram Xtended Guard).

I use Valvoline 5w-30 semi synthetic and change it every four months regardless of mileage.
However with the little I drive I never go over 3,000 miles between changes.

I go 3,000-4,000 miles on synthetic oil, cause the RX300's engine is tough on oil.

5k on regular 5w-30. Every 5000 miles or so

3-4K, always at the dealer so whatever oil they put in. I went by the time, not mileage, which worked out to twice a year.

I go 5k on whatever the dealer puts in. The engineers who designed the engine said 5K is the recommended interval; who am I to argue with them?

EDIT: I wanted to add that 5K happens to correspond to 6 months for us. And I do it every 6 months or 5K miles, whichever comes first.
