Should i switch to Fully Synthetic at 130k miles?
i have been doing conventional oil changes, i am thinking about switching to Fully synthetic Mobil 1 oil so i can drive longer without doing an oil change. Is it a good idea for a high mileage AWD rx330?

I agree with Lexus114 except.... if you live in a cold market. While frequent flushes are still beneficial, the benefits of Synthetic are best felt on the coldest mornings, regardless of change intervals.

Synthetic is better oil for performance and the longevity engine life. No worry about sludge problem that is common problem for Honda and Toyota engines, less oxidation, and cleaner engines. Then if you are using long life Syth oil it can use up to 10,000 miles, so in the end after spending 100 bucks for oil change, you will spend even less compare to 3 changes with conventional oil. Less fuel consumption and you will safe an earth.
Also use a good syth for your differential and transfer case.

Go for the synthetic!

Synthetic Oil
I won't recommend starting synthetic on an oil engine- leaks may develop or existing ones get worst. The high detergent content may clean old seals that are depending on some crud to seal.
Also, I won't flush an old transmission unless the fluid is burnt.
FYI: new tranny fluid doesn't require normal servicing

Lexus Champion
I have found the two oils my RX like the best is: Mobil-1 AFE Green Cap 0w-30,and what I`m running now which is; Kendall (Conoco-Phillips) Synthetic Blend 5W-30. Seems to have the best performance/MPG`s on these two oils. How ever,I may try the new Pennzoil YB next,it states cleans up to 46% of engine dirt, and exceeds GL 5 standards.

I would switch if I were you, but not just for extended change intervals but for better lubrication. Synthetic won't cause a leak unless you have something already leaking. It will make a leak a lot worse since synthetic is so much more slippery.

Switch and pray that no leaks will happen, LOL!
