Power Steering Hose Leak 2006 RX 330
I have a 2006 RX 330 with 116,000 miles. I noticed that i had a leak and the power steering oil level was low. I went under the car and lookslike the power steering hose is leaking. The dealer wants $352 for hose and $325 for labor. I called auto parts stores and they say its a dealer item only.
Someone told me I could have a hose company rebuild it for a lot less.
Has anyone done this? if so how tough is it?

unless you want the car laid up, i would jsut buy the dealer one, you know it will fit, and there will be no fuss.
if you opt for the custom made one, you will have to take the one off of your car, take it to the shop and wait to have it made, they will need yours so they can match up the fittings and make sure they make it the same strength as the old one.
you could call around to some junk yards, maybe one that got written off from a rear end collision will turn up.

granted its ebay, but one must question the quality of a hose for under 20 bucks, that would be a 1500 percent mark up if thats the actually cost of the item, cuz lets face it, they are probably all made in a handful of factories

It is a Gates product, so I would not have any problems there. For this application their quality is sufficient. However, I was not able to match the part number in the eBay listing to any product from Gates. So, would make sure to double-check with the seller first.
