Default Crack in the Dashboard!!!

I have a crack in my dashboard, my RX is really lightly used, and the man at the Dealer said that he could fix it, but it will be very obvious, any recommendations, because I really don't want to change the whole dashboard.

find someone else to repair it, there are some people out there who can hide it well.

After you get this repaired, treat the dashboard with "Aerospace Protectant 303". It has SPF-40 and is the best UV protectant you can buy. The 303 will give it a matte finish and protect this from happening again.

Seems like a stress break and not UV issue. Look for leather mender ... specially a shop who the Lexus dealer use. {they have matching dye-paint). I would not look for the cheapest place, as a botched repair can make things look worse.

Stress crack. Due to impact. There are places who can repair them. Better than what it is anyway. Good luck finding a guy. Post after repair.

I use AS303 on all my cars, in and out! Best UV protection! Not that expensive, too. I have a gallon of it. Fleabay has them by the bulk.

Few years back, the state inspection sticker is now attached to the inside of the windscreen. Well a careless inspector used his blade to scrape off the old sticker without putting a board on the dash ... guess what the scraper slipped and went right through the dash, leaving a 2.5" long gash. I went to "Leather Menders" (here in Austin) and they did a wonderful job. If you dont look for it, you cant even tell. The only tell tale signs are due to a straight cut/repair.

A good repair would need to bring the piece in level before the path is done.

Are there any recommendations for removing light scratches from the dashboard?

Learn to live with it. Any abrasive product will change the texture and/or patina of the dash and make it appear worse. If it really bothers you take it to a leather repair service.

I wonder if this stuff will help with that white dust that comes up from no where when using the heater at all (I can't get this fixed by the dealer). Not to go off topic.

I also have a small crack but a bit higher up and right near the trim of where the A/C grill is.
