Any high mileage RX without transmission problem?

Wife's 08 AWD 105K miles. Knock on wood no issue so far.
Transmission Fluid drain and refill every 12-15K miles since 80K miles. $10 a quart WS x 4 = $40+$60 labor. $100 every 1.5 year (cheap insurance in my opinion).

2000 RX300 Transmission Issue
I bought the car in '06 with about 45k miles, gave it to my grand daughter with 170k miles. The only trans issues were after seal failure (1st) and (2nd) hose lines rusted through and fluid leaked out. This happened within 3 months of each other, at around 155k miles. The first time hard shift from Park to Drive, 2nd time hard shift from 2nd to 3rd. Drove it on the highway during these issues and seemed to accept the torture without all out failure. Obviously I caught it by looking at the dipstick and seeing low levels of fluid.
Trans fluid changed due to leakage, but otherwise I had left it alone. I can't fault the engineering of the trans for these issues. Instead, I would go with Chicago harsh winters. Throughout ownership, I never concluded that the transmission was anything but smooth.

2001 RX300 FWD Transmission just began leaking at 420,000 miles. Timing Belt broke at 393,000 last summer. Junkyard replacement engine had 85,000. Travels average 90 - 100 miles per day. Bought used with 40,000 miles.

I'm curious - was that the original timing belt and did you ever replace the spark plugs?

262,200 on my 2004 model, never towed anything (think this would be an important factor in determining lifespan), and while certainly not new, not problematic either.

Still Running
I have a 2005 RX330 with 248K miles. Tranny jerks sometimes when shifting to second gear. This model has been great for pulling the small boat and going on long trips. Mainly use it for a 60 Mile round-trip commute every day. Just scheduled a main drive shaft replacement however. I am thinking it'll run another winter then I can let her go.
I always do my own oil change with synthetic at 5k - 8k intervals.

170k on my RX 330 and no issues. The transmission used to be jerky but I had it reprogrammed by the dealer about 60k miles ago and it shifts smoothly now. I also have my transmission fluid replaced every 60k miles.
I see other posters who have 300k-400k miles on their RX with the original engine and transmission, so I think it's fair to say that transmissions in the 2nd Gen RX don't have any major issues.

Wife's 08 RX350 AWD 125K miles, still shift smoothly with no jerkiness. WS fluid drain and refill every year since 80K miles. Cost me 5 quarts of WS and $60 labor charge by my long time mechanic. Cheap insurance.
Had a scary moment during the weekend, during the drive I can hear/feel a faint growling/humming noise come from the driver side while do left turn.
Took it to the stealership on Monday morning and have it checked out. 30 minutes later the service advisor came and said I need a new transfer case. Need to drop the transmission in order ot get to it and quoted around $6-7K. I was shocked. Paid the one hour diagnostic charge and told them I will chew on it. At that moment I took a look at the 2018 NX300 Fsport and thought this might be her new car.....
Still couldn't believe the situation. So today I took it to 2 local transmission shops and both told me that there is no way transfer case can make that noise. Both shop said it is the left wheel bearing and they guarrantee it or no charge. Anyway, both front bearings will be replaced next week.

It turns out that the left front bearing was indeed the culprit, replaced both front bearings with OEM toyota parts and now the RX is back to the old quiet ride. Thank gob it wasn't the rear bearing hub, otherwise each hub will cost me $300 each side. Two OEM bearing cost $150 ( I sourced it from ebay), Installation+alignment cost $350. Total cost $500.
