Hi,

Just got a 2006 Rx400 se-l. Looked through the instruction manual but I cannot get the rear dvd systems to work.

Pressing the power button on the screen and the dvd player under the seat doesn't seem to do anything.

Is their a master on/off switch somewhere? Or could it be a blown fuse?

What dvd player under the seat are you talking about? The DVD player should be in the ceiling. When you put a DVD in, does it accept it (or can you eject the dvd that's in it?). If so, then it's getting power. Do you have the remote? Try pushing the DVD button on the remote (make sure you have good batteries in the remote).

DVD player is under the drivers seat on the RX400.

Pressing the power button on the unit doesn't do anything and it doesn't accept DVDs.

Our 07 400H has the rear seat entertainment, and it is on the ceiling. So I can't help you.

that the player under the seat isn't for the navigation system? It make no sense to have the unit for back seat viewers there.

drive the car to the dealership, ask one of the salesman to show u how to use it if it's a factory dvd player.

for the front screen to work, you may have to pull the emergency brake on for it to work (safety).
