I have an 04 RX FWD. I checked the towing capacity and at 3500 lbs I am around 3000 with boat on tandem axle trailer that is well balanced but bad brakes. The RX 04 has NAV, etc.. well kept, very nice, no hitch.
I will only be towing 1000 yards to the ramp and back and 2 miles to gas up. Ocasionally for boat service, 5 miles one way, flat (we live in Florida for the winter). The part that worries me is the ramp. not long, kind of steep.I did A search on past threads and got some really good info but a lot of folks weighed in with 350's and even H400's.

In your opinions-Will the FWD 2004 make it at the ramp?

STD michelins, brakes, aftermarket hitch would be to spec for the vehicle.

In my opinion, I would not do it using your Lexus, especially considering it is FWD and there is no low range.

+1 I wouldn't want to try it. You'll have a lot of weight shifted to your rear wheels & the front wheel may just spin especially if the ramp is wet.
