Default Discounted Lexus Platinum Warranty

I just purchased a Lexus Platinum Extended Warranty (8 year/100,000 miles, Zero Deductible) for a 2006 Lexus RX 330 for $1,960.00. This is $100.00 above cost, the best out there.
Contact Toby Rivers @ Lexus of Shreveport, 1-800-335-3987.
Toby's email is: TOBYTOYOTA@aol.com

Give him the VIN number, vehicle mileage and the coverage you want.
His quotes are the best.
Give him your credit card number and the deal is done correct, first time.

I would put $1370/$1730/$2075 in the bank, as an insurance policy, just in case you need it.

I can tell you, in the case of our '04 RX330, we aren't even close to those numbers for repairs. Our RX just turned 118,500 miles.

As usual, YMMV.

I am thinking of getting an 07 RX350. Does anyone use or need the extended warranty?

I would recommend the Lexus Platinum extended warranty. Purchase it towards the end of your regular warranty. 48 months or 50K miles. You are qualified for it as long as you are within the regular warranty period.

How much did you pay?
What warranty did you get?
What dealer?
Can I get the same price from your dealer from another state?

I heard that the total profit on car warranties is closer to 90%. Save your money and pay as you go.

Default Warranty Comparison

I got a contact reading from another lexus forum.

Here's the quote via email:
2390.00 for the 7 yr/125K Lexus Platinum warranty with a ZERO deductible.

Toby Rivers
Lexus of Shreveport
800-335-3987

My Kearny Mesa dealer gave me $300 off so for having to have my car serviced: (the VTTi oil hose broke and oil leaked everywhere). It was a bit more expensive at $2239 for 7 yr/100K Platinum 0 deductible... plus they didn't offer the 125K.

Is the $315 worth the year less and extra 25K?
I'm comparing to Troy Dietrich's deal for 8 yrs / 100k: $2075 that Joeb427 got above.

It really depends on how much you drive. If you need an engine or transmission repair the warranty certainly paid for itself.

I have had to use the warranty on 3 RX's to get the crappy keys replaced.... but you can buy key shells on ebay for way less than the cost of the warranty.

For comparision look at the list prices of the warranty on Lexus website: http://www.lexusfinancial.com/consum...elected=RX_350

If you are quoted at or above the listed price then you are being overcharged. If you want to continue dealing with your local dealer remind them that they will profit from any warranty repairs they perform.
