Front rotor question
Anyone out there know the difference in the front rotors of a RX assembled in Canada and one in Japan? When at an auto parts store the guy said there were two different part numbers, now I'm curious?? I own two 2004's and wish to put on new rotors instead of turning them on a machine. Thanks

Try calling Lexus parts to confirm.

Should NOT be any difference. Went to Irontoad and there is only one Part for both the RX330(2004) through RX350(2009). By the way, each rotor cost $107.18 + shipping. Are you buying OEM?

Got them at Carquest, an auto parts store for 63.00/each, Toyota parts wanted $116/each. Auto Zone and Advance Auto wanted 66.00/each but showed no North American built RX in their system, only Japanese assembled.

Rotors for US and Japan built are the same. If you do a search on the net, OEM parts will show up for RX330, they are the same supplier to Toyota, mostly Japanese.

Becareful when replacing the front rotors. On a 2008 RX 350 the hub size differs by .01" depending on whether it was assembled in Canada or Japan. After market prices are roughly $60 for the Japan version and $120 for the Canadian. Some manufacturers just build the larger size and say it's OK to use on either car. Maybe, but maybe not!

JPP - Japan Production. The VIN begins with "J".
NAP - North American Production. The VIN begins with "1", "2", "3", "4" or "5".
