Default Rx350 Double Din install Help..

I have a 2007 Rx350 w/o the ML sound system. I've tried searching for an answer but I need help with wiring my new Eclipse avn6620 double din. I already have the JDM harrier trim piece and I purchased the Metra 70-8113 harness. I have everything wired up but I do not know how to get the factory amp to turn on. Can I keep the factory amp w/o using the Metra TYTO-01 ? I rather not bypass the factory amp or add another amp either. Please help thanks.

I used the TYTO-01 on my 2005, it was basically plug and play. Definitely the way to go.

The factory amp has a computer data cable running to it. Only works with stock radio as far as I know.

My factory amp is working with my Kenwood HU. I've got an 05 RX330 with the base sound system, I believe its the same as his 07.

Fine auto with crap radio. No AUX, can't use stock amp (data cable), hundreds of dollars to hook up a hard wire from the ipod. Had a better system in my old Chrysler 300M. WHY WOULD YOU NOT PUT A $0.25 AUX INPUT ON THE RADIO OF A $40,000+ LUXURY CAR. DUMB!

Ok well I got the wiring part down, I ran into another problem. When I bought the JDM faceplate it came with the two black plastic trim for the sides to fill in the gaps between the double din and the faceplate. However those trim seems to not fit correctly. I remember reading on this site somewhere that someone used those trim plate as well as other people using the scosche brand. If anyone could help me and could post up some pictures of how you mounted the radio with the side black trim and faceplate together, I would appreciate that. Thank you

I mounted the radio in the bezel, then trimmed the tabs as needed to fit the sides and hot glued them in place.
