GS 350 awd vs RX 350 awd

Other than Lexus logo and 4 wheels, these two are far apart.
I am numbers of years (even century/millinium) behind as I have '98 Gs400 and '99 RX300 and find it impossible to compare them.
Do you have a specific thing in mind that you want opinions on?

agree, two different type of car, i would love to get the gs350 but we got the RX instead, it was more practical for the wife and kids. i still think the gs350 is in a higher class plus, it's all 100% from japan (i believe), and the RX is like 60/40

The only advantage of the RX over the GS is cargo space, price and *possibly* ground clearance if you need that. I say *possibly*, because my stock 2002 WRX has more ground clearance in the front that the RX350. I would think that the GS350 would have less ground clearance, but I was surprised at how little the RX actually has. I suppose I shouldn't have been, given that the RX rides on a Camry chasis, but with the huge wheel/tire combo, and all that space in the wheel well around the tire, it just *looks* like it should have ground clearance...I guess that is what the designers were going for.
Advantage of the GS is that it has a lower center of gravity, less wind resistance and, subjectively, is a much more luxurious and attractive vehicle.

we have an RX and GS and hardly ever confuse the two the RX is our 2nd car and we got what we expected, dated interior and all. Still a good ride for us. besides the obvious SUV and sedan +/- depending on circumstance, the RX is an ES level car. entry into the line. IMO a truer comparison is the GS and GX.

I was going to trade my RX350 for a GS350 AWD but found the interior a little tight and the trade value at 1,2 or 3 years is very poor. The run flat tires are rough and noisy and the transmission bulge by your right leg is uncomfortable. The trunk space is very small as well. The RX has a better trade value!!! My second new RX (see my other post) is terrific, quiet, smooth and just a great ride.

I find the interior of the GS much nicer than the RX and both has about the same interior space. The RX has more head room though. The GS has more comfortable seats and its much more fun to drive. If you need the cargo space, the RX is the way to go.

ur comparing apples to oranges.
why not compare something close, like lexus rx350 to toyota highlander?? or gs350 awd to bmw 535xi?
anyways, the current generation rx feels and looks like a chick car while gs is a guy car, like jgr7 had said. have you driven both cars? rx and gs are two different car and handling, feeling of these two cars are different. I like the gs more in handling but rx more in the passenger/cargo room.

^^ thats the LX570. interior looks extremely manly, with its butch controls.
as for the RX, topped out at close to 50K seems like a pretty good comparison with the GS price wise. Id take the GS personally.
