i have this annoying squeaking noise coming from the drivers side door (somewhere near the door opening handle) when driving on 'not so good' roads.

also hear it when im playing bassy music.
its not too loud, only the driver can hear it but still annoying.

dealer playing the 'i cant hear the sound' card.

what do i do? any DIY fix?

be a pain and take it back and keep the lexus rental till its fixed!! If you can produce it when the stereo is on, then he can find it if he takes a damn minute! How about him taking the door panel off and look for it while riding down the road...or the radio. Some mechanics are just not to bright

Lexus dont even give a loaner car in this country . so each time its in the shop i have to arrange my own rental, lol.
i do agree on the mechs not being too bright. maybe he was deaf too?
will go back this weekend and try to convince them again.

Maybe explain to him what to do---Make sure you talk to the mechanic and not the service advisor!

This is a tough one (read on).

As booyah suggests, make the distinction between the service writer and the tech.

If the the tech is not bright ... it may not be wise to have him tear into the door (just think if the warranty did not pay for tech's time, would you trust him to do the repairs?).

Try another dealer even if they are further away.
